How to track trends

The portal's trends view turns individual mood ratings into a picture of how your whole team is feeling, week by week. Here is how to read it — and what to do with it.

The basics

What you are looking at

01

Where the numbers come from

Every time someone submits feedback, they add a mood rating from 1 (struggling) to 5 (thriving). The trends view pools those ratings across your team — no names, just the shape of how things feel.

02

The weekly chart

Each point on the chart is one week: the average mood of everyone who shared feedback that week. It smooths out one bad day and shows the direction over time instead.

03

The average

Alongside the chart you will see your team's overall average. Around 3 is a team getting by; sustained 4s and 5s mean things are genuinely working.

Reading the direction

Rising, steady or falling

Rising

Recent weeks are scoring higher than earlier ones. Whatever changed is landing — worth naming it so the team keeps doing it.

Steady

The mood is holding. Steady and high is healthy; steady and low is a quiet warning that something needs attention.

Falling

Recent weeks are trending down. That is the moment to read the newest feedback carefully and respond visibly, before the dip becomes the norm.

Using it well

Trends are a conversation starter

The chart is not a scoreboard and nobody is graded on it. It exists so your team can talk about how work feels while there is still time to change it — and so responses from your People team can be checked against reality: did the mood actually lift after they acted?

The most useful thing you can do is keep contributing. The more weeks your team shares honest ratings, the truer the picture becomes.
